Successful Patient Recruitment in a Competitive Phase 2b Trial

At InnoStrat, we recently supported a mid-sized pharma company in achieving timely patient recruitment for a phase 2b trial in a highly competitive therapeutic area. Our Scientific Recruitment and Retention Program played a crucial role by partnering with KOLs and lead study coordinators across 10 countries.

We established a Trial Steering Committee, Global Investigator and Study Coordinator Panels, which served as advisory boards to address trial challenges and develop tools for sites.

With science as a core motivator, we created a shared Trial Core Story and fostered collaboration through local trial communities. These communities, led by panel members and facilitated by InnoStrat and sponsor MSLs, focused on protocol adherence, reducing screen failures and increasing retention.

By addressing both scientific and operational needs, we ensured successful recruitment and enhanced engagement with KOLs and investigators. The KOLs in the global panels expressed high levels of satisfaction of having increased access to Medical Staff at the sponsor level, which again cemented the relationship to the sponsor – laying the groundwork for the upcoming phase 3a program.
